Huge Baseball Size Hail

May 10, 2010 tornado/hail storm in the Oklahoma City area. This hail was huge some were bigger then baseballs. It broke through our double reinforced roof window in our house and even left holes in our roof. A bunch of hail balls managed to break thru into the attic. We were fortunate not to have any cars parked in the drive way but sadly most of our neighbors suffered bad car damage.

they have had hail like that in Sydney… punched holes through the roofs of cars. Punched through roof tiles and the ceilings of the houses. That’s nasty stuff!! glad we don’t get them like that where i live!!

No loss for these fine folks. Looks like their house, shed, and yard are already pretty run down. They’re the neighbor everyone else hopes will move.

Hmm me thinks something is wrong when so many cars are parked outside of the garage

Or is it just me!

clayguy1 May 24, 2010 at 7:27 pm

I wonder if Mother Nature got an inviromental impact statement before she was allowed to release all that hail…. could be an investigation…

I don’t know how the hell you people can live out there.

PupuTheClown May 26, 2010 at 1:32 am

We use spongy roof tiles to absorb the large hail impacts and underground shelters to stay alive during these outbreaks.

loonmaniac May 26, 2010 at 4:40 am

@PupuTheClown Wow. I know most people are smart enough to get under cover, but I’d be paranoid about one of those baseball sized hail balls smacking me right in the head if caught in the open during a storm.
